G Force, again

From the beginning of FSP I've had a problem with the g force calculation which I brought up in the early days, without getting a
substantive response. As I said then, I also use FS Flight Keeper which monitors in minute detail every aspect of a flight and is very
quick to record badness. On only one occasion have I received a poor critique from FSFK with regard to excessive g force. I get it much
more frequently with FSP - much to the irritation of my passengers - and me! I use Radar Contact for ATC which sometimes provides
some quite 'adventurous' vectors on approach and always when I have been put into a holding pattern.

I always cross check with FSFK which records nothing amiss in this area. Just wondered if anyone else finds this problem

It seems that FSFK in your case, is just less sensitive to the G load than FsPax. So that it will punish you with greater overloads than FsP.
You have to live with this. As far as I know, G limits in FsP are quite realistic and most people think the same (I believe so). So, just fly
smoooooother...

Hint: sometimes you can get excessive g forces when disabling autopilot in MSFS. Do it with great care, your controls should be perfectly
centered (joystick, yoke) when you are turning it off.

FSP just get the G force from FS2004 it doesn't calculate anything but look the "G" force
value that is returned by Fs2004... So if there is a problem it's much in Fs2004 , in
a weather add-on that set heavy turbulence or wind change or perhaps you underestimate
the G you get while flying ?

Many thanks for the replies. It's good, at least, to clarify the manner in which FSFK obtains its values.

I very rarely use an auto-pilot and I don't think I underestimate the g force but, who knows. I believe my flying is fairly smooth - I've had no
complaints in the real world on that score. Very strange.

Hmmm... Strange to hear ot from the RW pilot...
Maybe you have some kind of issue in your MSFS installation?
Could you possibly try to reinstall it?
Just to be sure...

also you can display the G on screen pressing SHF+Z (or SHF+Y?) two time.
notice it can be your weather program that send you unrealistic turbulence...
this may help you to detect at wich moment the problem occure.

Many thanks again for your further replies. I have to concede there may be a problem with my FS installation. I've got a number of other
issues which may mean I have to bite the bullet and re-install. Actually I didn't realise that the G could be displayed on screen - think I'll
give that a try.

Yes, it's displayed with Shift-Z (you might have to press it twice to get to it).

As for G force, yes, I believe they are realistic. I once took my wife on a cessna ride and I was doing 60 degree bank angle turns. To keep
your altitude at that angle, you have to pull 2Gs. She kindly let me know that that was not cool at all!

It is <Shift>+<Y> if you have QWERTZ keyboard. It's a kind of Franch keyboard layout (if I remember correctly), but anyway they are rather
rare piece of hardware.

Well, there IS an option in the weather settings in FS to disable turbulence effects... doesn't help to raise your scores for bad weather
landings, but can keep from getting the G penalties at times

60 degrees? you would need to pull 2 gs on any aircraft to maintain altitude.


If you're flying say a patty wangstaff ford 300 (fs default) and you pull let's say 8 virtical g's and black out what happens? (Rhetorical!!!)
