Flaps Penalty error

Flying a F1 C-172, twice now I have been penalized for an incorrect flaps setting during take off, 600 bloody points!! But on both occasions the flaps were correctly set at
15 degrees, what gives?

Just disable all the flap penalties. FSP has problems with these on many aircraft, so it's not really realistic.

Er, how do I do that? I don't see it anywhere in the program?

I see Light penalties can be switched off, but nowhere do I see Flaps.

You should not fully retract flaps before 500 AGL!

Pagir, good point, I do tend to raise them pretty quickly in the Cessna, they tend to drag it some and are not really needed for T/O, however I
will leave it disabled while I am limited to that aircraft and switch it back on for the others, I like it to be workable as well as realistic.

On a slighjtly different note, while browsing the FAQ's I saw a suggestion of quickly accessing the fsp folder from the Start menu.
Another very quick method to access ANY folder that you need to frequently is to drag the folder image onto the quicklaunch bar, I have both
my FS9 folder there and my MS-2004 downloads folder, 1 click access!!

Don't forget to lower the flaps before you reach 500 feet agl on landing, otherwise you will incur in the same penalty.

Just took off from Stdney on a flight to Brisbane on my posky Qantas 767-300 VH-ZXB. I started with 5 degrees of flaps on takeoff as with
all jets, retracted the landing gear, nicely climbing when bang - through 359 Feet, a message says, flaps destroyed as I was going to
fast.

Found the problem. My auto throttle didn't work and aircraft went to 379 knots before I had the speed droping. Was able to land safetly
and fight to live another day. Had a hard landing but as I only had 5 degrees still on the wings, just flared it a little early to wash the speed
off a little andlanded safetly. It said that it was hardlanding, but as it had little or no flaps, the skill of the pilot was
excellent.

Problem solved, no failures at all seting.
