FSP crash upon trying to set load points for PMDG 737 700

Hi all,

Been a while since I posted here, which is due to me having had to upgrade my system and modify it a bit so it runs smoother.

All in all I had to completely reinstall my system, and also FS and FSP.

Previously I never had problems with FSP and the PMDG 737 set. Now however, using the latest version, for some odd reason, FSP
crashes when I want to start using my PMDG 737 for the first time.
I get the well known question to update loadingpoints by FSP, then I click "yes" and instantly after that the screen goes black and nothing
happens anymore. No error report, just a lot of HDD activity and in the taskmanager it shows FS9 is no longer responding, end of story.

Is there a fix for this? I read somewhere in the forums that someone else has the exact same problem, but failed to get anyone to give
him a clear fix (aside from some references to other posts which were about completely different subjects ) Unfortunately, the last
post in that thread is him posting a crash log to which no one ever answered.

So, let me have it! Don't spare me anything! How do I get FSP to NOT crash upon having it adjust the payload points of my PMDG 737?

Mind you, this USED to work without a problem in the previous versions.

Thanks a ton for willing to do this Dan. Hold on though, because this is a long one (all liveries are in there).

Which makes me think for a second here. Would you be willing to post for me the line that should be inserted and
where? I mean in
which section of the config file.
Since there are some other PMDG .cfg files for the other types (600, 800 and 900, all with or without winglets), I'll
have to adjust those as
well. And I'm certainly not afraid to have a go at those myself. Just as long as I know what to do.

By the way, the specific aircraft is the one under [fltsim.119]

[EDIT BY ADMIN] Snipped the HUGE aircraft.cfg, was so huge anyway that it wasn't even complete in the
post...

A long one effectively, even the forum fail to display it completely
(I think it's the problem in FSP I never saw such an huge aircraft.cfg)

simply search the line:

"station_load.3=7650.0, -48.350, 0.000, 1.050"

And add this right after:
station_load.4=0,0,0,0
station_load.5=0,0,0,0
station_load.6=0,0,0,0

As you see such things will do nothing without FsP, FsP simply need them
because those station would no exist in memory without the declaration in aircraft.cfg
thus FsP would be unable to use all the needed load point.

The only line I got in my that resembles any of that is.

station_load.0=23000.000, -48.350, 0.000, 1.050

I'm stumped aswell.

so I just need to add those station_load 1 to 6 in the cfg?

God I wish I'd use the search engine more often :/

The weight may change if you use the PMDG loader
anyway what need FsP is the missing station_load
so if you have only 2 3 or 5 just add some with zero weight
until 6.

1-search for "station_load." keyword
2-see what's the latest "station_load.4" for exemple
3-add the missing "station_load.5=0,0,0,0" etc etc... until you have six in total

I added those to the file 1-6 and FsP doesn't complain, and I'm not good enough to see if it affect my plane in a bad way though... I didn't feel any
difference

Thanks a lot Dan! This certainly resolved my issue right away. And just like Nasder, I don't notice any difference in handling the plane at
all.

One last question: can I apply this also to the 600, 800 and 900 series? I mean, FsP just needs 6 loading points for each of them? Or
does it need more for the 800 and 900 series?

Sure, FsP may need less than 6 point on some aircraft (if it have only one pax class for example)
but a maximum of 6... by ensuring an aircraft.cfg have at least 6 station it should work always.
As you noticed tha added station do nothing without FsP.

Notice usually FsP can correct the missing station in aircraft.cfg but in our case I think it failed
because of the size of the file. Also a lot of aircraft have at least 6 station by default.
