Question about CTD

Hi everyone,

First thing first, I blame my CTD on fs2004 / my computer, this would have happened anyway! But a funny thing happened (luckly I have a
sick sense of humour ).

Tonight I flew a flight from Edinburgh, Scotland to Reykjavik, Iceland using a fully loaded PMDG 737/700 KLM. Getting near Iceland, I had
a CTD. This happens occasionally on a longer flight and is probably more likely related to fs2004 or my computer then FSPassenger.
However, while getting a black screen and my hard disk going insane (CTD!!) I heard my passengers screaming there head
off!! The next time I started a flight, I had to repair my aircraft for nearly 500,000 euro! (ok, pretty cheap since I crashed from +/-
350 flt to the ground in a few seconds)

Has anyone exprienced this aswell? Dan, is there a posibility that when fs2004 crashes, that my loaded plane doesn't ?

Anyway, FSPassengers is the best addon I ever bought!

Hey Hans, Luckily i don't have often ctd's but when it did happen (due to a bad power supply) it never recorded my flight. Kind of scary though that
Dan made this addon so realistic that planes keep flying and passengers keep screaming even when it's not running...
You have any idea why it crashes?

like I said, this is unlikely the blame of FsP. Occasionally I had a CTD before I purchased FsP and occasionally it still happens. Luckely it
doesn't happen often, but Murphy's Law, it always happens when you have a long flight .

I must amid, I use the option to record flights afterwards (I agree it's a little bit of a cheat, but I get disturbed a lot while flying, if I get to fly at
all). This is probably the part where I raise a question (good thinking Dutch!). Although I selected the option to control recording of my
flights, when I have a CTD it is recorded automatically! This is an interesting one and I will make sure that if I have another CTD to check
whether the flight will be auto recorded or not.

Sorry to hear about your power supply, after all it takes a lot more time and money to replace it than having a CTD .

Well, about powersupplies, nowadays it's best to invest some money in especially that part of the pc. a good stable ps will prevent lot's of otherwise
unexplainable crashes.
And i guess, from what i read here in the forum, most of us use the option not to automatically save the flight, it will be too frustrating
