'Un'Declare an emergency?

Hi all

Dows anybody know if it is possible to stop the Pan or Mayday procedures after declaring an emergency. I'm on a flight at the moment
and accidently declared a PAN rather that putting on a movie for the PAX. The are now completly terrified rather than content with a nice
film! I'd rather like to calm things down for them but not sure if it is possible.

Not sure if that is possible and you will get hit with making a false mayday,

but I did find that if you accidentally do something that causes the passenger satisfaction level to drop a lot you can eventually land at your
destination and just taxi around for a bit as it will raise back up to normal eventually

FAA doesn't really like false mayday... You can't undo the mayday (after all, maybe someone in your back TELLS you to undo the
mayday...) So I think you'll have to live with it until landing...

PAX are always terrified to be in a plane after a mayday call. You cannot do anything about that.

Thanks for the reply's all. I think this is 'one of those flights'. I also miscalculated the ETA a hour after I'm due to get there and forgot to set
standard QNH after transistion. Boy are these passengers going to complain when we get there. I'll put it down to working nights at the
moment! "sorry ladies and gentleman, your now on your own. The captain is going to the crew compartment to sleep!"

If it makes you feel any better, I did exactly the same thing just airborne out of Nice.

I though ctr+sft+M sounded good for a movie, but allas it wasn't.

Bummer is that because I had declared a mayday, I then couldn't even play a movie using the right keys (I thought it might calm them
down a bit).

My worst flight so far.

Moral of story, redifine your keys or remember never to press ctr+sft+M unless in anger ;-)
