Hi There!
Today, I was doing a short hop from KSFO To KLAX and at aprox. 5,000 Ft, the cabin crew announced that we're nearly at our cruising altitude!
I know this makes no difference to the actual flight, but it makes it a bit more realistic when we ARE actually approaching our cruising altitude.
What value determines the height that they say this at? Because some flights it may never say that (in fact 9/10 flights this is). Also, at the end
of the flight as I was taxing to my ramp, the hostess just jumps into the cabin to say "Wowza! It's so beautiful above the clouds!" So there must
be VERY low cloud if you can be over them at about 10 ft! This is the first time something like this has happened to me.
Has it happened to any of you people?
And how can it be resolved?
Thanks,
Maraio1
