I just did a short 200nm test flight with a boeing 747-400 Paint 5.
On approach, I lowered flaps 3 notches and then also lowered my gear.
As soon as my gear was almost out, I lowered my flaps to full.
Then, the co-pilot alerted me that all my back gear's were locked in position and weren't coming down.
I managed to raise my gear and lower it a few times until my eight left back wheels were down, but still my right back gear
wasnt coming
down.
I then decided to declare an emergency, that kind of pissed me off because it messed up my whole flight and and I wasnt
intending to have
an emergency.
Then I cancelled my landing intentions and considered landing in the ocean, but their was no water nearby. I was surrounded
by desert. So I
just decided to continue my approach and kept the gears lowered and lowered the flaps back to full. Then as I was below the
minimums, I
tilted the aircraft left so that my left gear would touch down first. As soon as I touched down, my right gear fell down and
all my gears were
sucessfully down. Then I applied reverse thrust and did a normal landing, and ofcourse I heard all the police cars and stuff
coming, and I
just taxiied off the runway onto the taxiway and stopped. Thats when the passengers started clapping, and then I just turned
off the applied
the parking brake, seatbelt sign, and opened the door and then ended my flight.
And btw this flight was from KLAX-KLAS(205nm)
After information passed to the Moderation team by other parties, this member has been removed from the forums as a
