Yet another wierd problem encountered on the ground.

On taxi to the active (FSX default B737) I switched to an outside view and noticed the left wing looked wierd.....the left spoilers were partially
deployed! I tried cycling both the flaps and the spoilers with no effect. Looked at all the panels and no annunciators were lit....from the cockpit there
was no way of knowing this. I just figured FSX didn't launch the plane model properly and maybe it would be ignored in flight. Very odd, when I
turned onto the active and the wind direction changed - now RIGHT spoilers were up and the LEFT were down?????

Hmmm, taxi back to the gate? Does PsP recognize if you abandon the flight and reset, or is the same problem waiting for you on the next flight?
Could be an opportunity to get a LOT of points My copilot Jose C. recommended I proceed with a with my finger ready on the ESC key.

Well, on takeoff roll, the left wing jumped into the air and the plane was trying to cartwheel to the right. I hit ESC and saved my career but in
retrospect, I wish I had executed a rejected takeoff and taxied back to the gate to see what FsP would do with it....to risky though.

Valuable lesson learned - LOOK at your plane!

My next question is, why am I having so many wierd failures when my failure rate is set to1%? I seem to have some major problem about every
fourth flight - bad karma maybe.

iv noticed this before. was the autpilot on. thats what happened with me

This usually occurrs when you have the autopilot engaged along with the HDG select function.

I have no way to look back now to seen if that was the case. I did try to repeat the same flight and the same spoiler issue appeared ( I didn't notice
if AP was on but this is not part of my pre-flight setup). Anyway, I did taxi back to the gate. Of course there is no way to notify FsP or ATC for that
matter of your intentions in this setting. The only way out was to abort the flight.

The guys are correct. If the auto pilot is involved in any way, shape color or form the plane will try to fly itself while on the ground. Never,
ever, ever X 16 turn on the AP untill well established on climb-out.

most companys have rules about how and when the autopilot can be used. a general rule of thumb is 1000Ft AGL, (autoland exception)

i myslfe set up my autpilot on the ground. but never turn it on. my VA's SOP have the autopilot set up in the before push checks. well before your
near the runway with about 3-4 checks to verify its set and off before takeoff. this gives us time so we are not rushing and accidently turn it on

At once, I was taxiing for take off and I've
noticed that my plane is completely steering
to the right, without any indications from the
cockpit. It somehow seems like the plane
wheels aren't aligned. Maybe the mechanic
forgot to put a small nickle to its rims. But
anyhow, as soon as I took off, the plane was
heading to the right, and I had to fight for it to
go straight and leveled. Again no indications
from the cockpit that there is anything wrong.
No message from my co pilot at all...

As a matter of my flight sim routine, I change to spot plane view after loading FS/FSPax/Radar Contact and take a screen shot of my nice plane at the
ramp. This allows me to see things like you mentioned, as a sort of "walk around" that real pilots do. Plus i get a nice screenie for my collection

Sounds to me the AP was on as others alluded to. I set my AP on taxi but double check to make sure its NOT ENGAGED. So I have my altitude and
direction set and the FD on, but the AP is disengaged. I check this twice - once on taxi and once on the runway prior to takeoff.

Also, I think you could have just rejected take off in your circumstances and returned to the gate. I'm sure you'd get penalized by FSPax since, if
it was in fact the AP, it would be "your fault".

I recently had an inflight breakup due to FSPax. First time ever. I replayed the last 10 seconds of flight and it seemed the plane stopped in mid
air for one second and then I got the "FS has crashed and your flight will be reset" or whatever FS displays. I was given the choice by FSPax to
record the flight (which would kill my 100hr pilot and 11 pax) or cancel. I chose to cancel. Wish I had recorded it though. For realisms sake. My
plane had 4800hrs on it (bought for cheap) and, well, those things happen.
