Fuel Dumping

Hi Guys,

I looked around in the forums and didnt find something similar. Well it either means that it doesnt cause a problem or that no one does it.

Anyways for "realism" purposes i downloaded a "fuel dump" gauge which will allow me to dump 20% of the fuel incase of overweight
approaches, offcourse only due to emergencies.

My question is if that would cause an error message or something?

Never had to dump fuel when using FSPX, and don't have a guage for it either as when I do dump fuel, I use FSX's own shortcut keys and watch the tanks
slowly drain.

I would imagine that you would get an incorrect fuel load penalty if you were to try and dump fuel, as for error messages, I can't see why it would
bring any up.

Which shortcuts do u use? Does it show the dump? (smoke like stuff from the wings)

From what I remember, fuel dumping is an option you have to assign yourself through FS's key commands - I allocated SHIFT+D.

I see, i tried the gauge, it has different dump rates. I tried a take off from nice and simulated engine fire then started the dump. With the
highest dump rate and full fuel jettison it took about maybe 10 - 15 mins to dump the required ammount for my A320. It worked and i didnt
get errors. So yeah it works :D

I usually dumped fuel when I had some failures with the CLS DC-10. It does not give you a bonus, but shortly after takeoff improves the handling while
landung quite a bit. I never used a gauge to do this, just the native function of the plane but FSP never complained about dumped fuel so far...

In normal FSX it Depends which aircraft you are flying. Sometimes the dump is shown, sometimes it isn't!

Only used it a couple of times, ever !
