Scheffel B737-800

Hi

I wanted to fly the Scheffel B737-800 with FSPassengers as I do with the Project Fokker F-100 but I can’t bring the Air Scheffel B737-800
in the air.

First I have problems to hold the aircraft on the runway when I accelerate and at about 80 knts it begins to rotate. When I can get in the air,
I get into stall.

Without FSPassengers I have absolutely no problem to fly with the Scheffel B737 but with FSP it is impossible.

What do I wrong? I hope that somebody can help me. (Sorry for my bad english, I am Swiss)

My first guess is the payload/weight of your airplane.

In the default one you never exceed maximum takeoff weight since the game simply uses a default payload that is set to be low enough to
get you airborne.

But when you use FSPassengers and add passengers, cargo and fuel you can exceed your maximum takeoff weight very quickly. When
you are at the screen where you load passengers and such, keep an eye on the payload/weight line and make sure it never goes above
100%.

You want to add enough fuel that you can get to where you are going (and have enough spare fuel to remain airborne for a minimum of 45
minutes), add all the passengers, then fill up with cargo. Remember that you don't have to bring max fuel, max cargo and max
passengers. Always, ALWAYS keep your max takeoff weight below 100%, else you won't get the bird off the ground

Also be sure to set the trim properly before takeoff.

I've downloaded airplanes that have the takeoff weight already including pax and cargo. Therefore when FSPax reads the weight data, and
you add your passengers and cargo, it's already way overweight. Edit the aircraft.cfg file if necessary. I had a CRJ that was at maximum
weight w/ fuel and pax because it was already "accounted for" via the aircraft.cfg. I edited the file so that the "empty" weight was the actual
empty weight of the aircraft (which I obtained via the web and wikipedia). Then I checked the maximum TO weight (also via wikipedia) and
set it accordingly. Then, when I added pax and cargo via FSPax, I was able to load the aircraft correctly and have no problems taking off.
FSPax assumes a passenger weight of about 150# each, so if you add 50 passengers you are essentially adding 7500# of payload.
Then, add your fuel (about 6.7# per gallon) and cargo.

You can check what FSPax thinks the empty weight of the aircraft is when you load it via the Payload Manager. It will show you the empty
weight, plus the GTOW. Before you add fuel, pax or cargo, the empty weight should be the correct weight for that aircraft. If you add pax,
fuel and cargo and the GTOW is "excessive" then likely you are adding too much (too many pax, cargo or fuel, or likely a combination of
those) OR the aircraft weights are not correct (in the aircraft.cfg file).

Also, as another user suggested, it's possible your aircraft trim is off. Make sure you check the trim/flaps before takeoff (you used the
checklists, right?). Also, it's possible the Payload Manager is loading weight off-balance. In the Payload Manager (outside of FS, in the
FSPassengers folder), you can "calculate" the Cg (center of gravity). FSPax even tells you if the Cg is "good" or "bad". A "bad" Cg will
cause all sorts of balance issues.

Finally, make sure your autopilot is NOT engaged when you are taking off. I've done that a few times (autopilot engage/disengage is a
button on my joystick). Its possible you are engaging the autopilot on takeoff or it's already engaged when you start the flight for some
reason. Autopilot should only be engaged after takeoff when you have positive climb and more than 1500' AGL (that my minimum, I don't
know what the real world rules are regarding this).
