Don't try flying any new aircraft you buy/download for FS2004 in FSP until you've tried them standalone first!
I found a copy of the Wilco CRJ pack on sale in Game this morning, thought nice small-medium jet to fit in the paradigm of my fledging
FSP airline, just enough "cash" on the company books to buy one too. First flight (Tonopah to San Jose), on take-off I pitched up too hard
and scraped the tail. Wilco CRJ doesn't have an autothrottle but managed to fly and control speed without it. However on nearing San
Jose (very odd approach from FS ATC, tried lining me up almost 35 miles out), hit the APP button which promptly sent the plane into a 60
degree yaw/turn and spiralling down. Before I realised what had happened, hit bottom. 35 punters dead, my "avatar" dead and the
company books in ruins.
As a postscript, set up a new company, enough cash to "buy" the iFDG MD11 (which I am quite familiar with) - taking off from
Copenhagen FSP threw an engine flameout at me which resulted in 225 passengers plus yours truly taking an early bath in the Kattegat.
