new computer

My computer is no more, so I went looking for a new one and i found this:

Intel® Core™ i7 920 Quad Core Processor (2.66GHz,8MB Cache,4.8GT/s)
Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 64-bit - English
ASUS P6T SE Mainboard - Intel Core™ i7 & i7 Extreme Edition - ATX
500GB Serial ATA Hard Drive with 16MB Buffer
512MB ATi HD4850 Graphics accelerator - DVI, DirectX 10.1 PCI Express 2
3GB 1333MHz Triple Channel DDR3 SDRAM - (3x1GB)

Is this a decent computer for fsx? Also thinking of upgrading the RAM to 6gb, is this worth it?

The i7 is a perfect processor so that would make for a nice system.
I would indeed upgrading to 6Gb RAM, especially with Vista.

The only thing I would do is look for a better GFX card as well, one with at least 1Gb RAM of its own, or double it in SLI. That would make
FSX run so much smoother.

I ordered my new computer today - a slightly different spec as the core i7 was a bit too expensive.

8GB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM - ( 4x2GB )
1GB ATi HD4890 Graphics accelerator DVI, DirectX 10.1 PCI Express 2

hopefully it will work well with FSX, anyone got any experience with the amd phenom II X4 955 BE?
