How to get FSPassX cockpit voices in external view?

I will start by saying that I have been flying FSX for about 2 years. I'm not hard core about being realistic. As such, I fly mostly with the
external view camera in behind the aircraft as it gives me the best view of the landscape. I find that cockpit views are just too limited as
you don't have any perefrial(sp?) vision. Also with FSX I can fly in external view and hear everything (which I like), but now with FSPassX I
can't hear the FSPass portion of the audio in external.

I am wondering what my options are as far as hearing cockpit communication in extewrnal view. Can I make a change somehow that will
allow the FSPassX sounds to be heard in external view?

As far as i know there were other threads on this issue, I don't think it is possible to do that unless Dan creates an option for us. I myself
would like to see this option as well, I share the same flight sim experience as you.

I did do a search prior to posting this and you are correct it was brought up in the past. However I thought maybe with this new version for
FSX things may have changed in that regard.

I have tried flying in cockpit mode and I do like it a little here and there, but not all the time. Sorry but the view is just to restricted for my
liking. I love FSpassengers but I wish I had the choice of what views I can hear everything in. It seems it was designed so well and we
have all these different choices and options on how we want FSPass to operate, but yet I can't listen to the communications the same
way I have been hearing them for the last two years.

Here's an idea. Open a new window and switch (the new window) to virtual cockpit. You can still fly with an external camera on the "big" window, and
hear everything from the cockpit window (make it active). You can even resize it, so it doesn't take too much space.

Good idea. It's not the answer I was looking for but I appreciate your suggestion. Hopefully I don't lose FPS.

I find it hard to believe there isn't an easy way to turn on voices in external view though. I know Dan said in the manual he did it this way
because its more realistic, but in all honesty how realistic is it have the current warning ticker run across the top of my screen? Besides
by the time I switch to cockpit view I have miised the voice message alerting me to the failure. It's happened twice now, missed them
both. Besides that, while I am flying i am also doing other things such as studying, paperwork etc, so it's not like am glued to the screen
watching for a message.

I would also like to have the option to hear the audio in the external mode.
Me myself just as T-bone do other things beside the cpu and is not glued infront of the screen during 13hr long flights.

Folks, being able to hear internal voices from an external view is definitely NOT realistic. I see your points,but the developer, Dan, wanted
to make this addon as realistic as possible and provide the user with various ways to adjust the addon to his/her liking. Ifly has a good
idea, and I think it would benefit those who are wanting to hear the voices use his idea for now. I don't know how much it would take for
Dan to provide such an option that you deem so important, but don't expect it right away, as it may not even be on the list of things to do.

This understandibly is a personal preference and does not create issues in the operation of the program itself.

Joeflyer I hear what you are saying, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I just don't agree. If voices in external view were left out
to make it more realistic than please explain this. What happens now is I fly in external view, then I get a ticker tape that runs accross the
screen telling me there is an anouncement, then I have to switch views to cockpit view to listen to what is being said. How realistic is
that? In fact I think it is less realistic because pilots don't have ticker tapes running accross their screens.

My point is this, instead of having to go through the process above, or the other method of setting up a seperate window for cockpit view,
why not simply have the voices available in external view. Its just simpler and easier. As mentioned some of us have been flying like this
for years and now we have to change the way we fly, to hear what could be very important announcments.

Better yet allow voices to be heard in external view but give the option of tuning it off for people that don't want it. I just wish WE had the
choice, thats all.

I don't think it's realistic because you are looking at the airplane from the outside, as if you were looking at it from another airplane, so the only
things you could realistically hear are the wind and the engines.

This is not just a feature of FsP or FsPX. The base program behaves the same way. i.e., there are sounds in the cockpit view that you will not hear
when you switch views.

Besides, PsP/PsPX are much more customizable than most programs out there. Asking for more is a little greedy

I don't take offense at all. You are stating your opinion and I respect that. You want realism? Realism doesn't reflect listening to voices in
an external view of an aircraft...period. Would you hear voices if you were actually outside of an aircraft or would you hear nothing but wind
noise? I vote for the latter. You have a preference of flying with external view and want all of the bells,whistles, voices accompanying you
as you gaze over the aircraft and take in the beauty of the scenery, correct? Sorry to say, we can't help you in those areas. IFLY made
some additional good points as well. Continuing to argue your points are futile but they are noted.
