Just a quick word to say that I am a little bit dissapointed at the price you are asking for fspassengers x.
I was one of the first people to buy fsp 2004. I loved the program.

Now what you are selling is just an upgrade to fsx, nothing new on the program. I don't think it is fair for
fspassengers users the need to
pay the full price for this "new" product when, in fact, it's just an upgrade with 2/3 new features. Therefore, Im going
to stick to fs9 and to
fspassengers2004 which, don't take me wrong, still the best addon ever.

Although i wish you good luck with the sales

By going on what you say, wasn't flight simulator x just an upgrade to flight simulator 2004? I don't remember Microsoft giving me any discount?

Of course it is your choice not to purchase the software.

Drew: FSX is a complete rework not just an update. I guess Dan mentioned it somewhere, explaining the difficulties he had to cope with. And speaking
of the upgrade prices - I bought my A380 for FSX from Wilco at a smaller price just because I had the fs9 version already. Anyway...

aibiria: I don't think less than 30 Euro is that big price for this software masterpiece. For me it's just 15 cups of morning coffee at my local news

I don't agree with that Drew.
fsx is not an upgrade but a whole new product with new features and graphics.
fspx is just an update on what fsp already offered.
I don't know Drew, i am not complaining and i feel the pain Dan has experienced adapting it for fsx.

I understand Dan anyway, he needs to make business out of the program and I am sure that if he has not given the program with a
discount is because of the work had to put on it. Still, i am this kind of customer that i expect new/innovated features when i am
purchasing a brand new product. fspx is offered for €29.99 and that is bearing in mind that has a discount on it. Normal price will be €37!!
That's even more than any other new game release!!! I just bought spore a couple of weeks ago for £32 (€34) when it was released!
I will be willing to pay this price if it had something new and exciting. Besides of the failures, the type of flight and the last flight restore
facility it is nothing new on it!

Still, fspassengers is the best addon ever.

Yes it is a rework, but for fspx to work with this rework, then fspx also needs to be reworked, not just updated. I guess that's why it took over a
year to 'update' the product, when radar contact and active sky etc 'updated' their product in a matter of weeks.

ps, I dont see all that many new features in fsx, apart from the missions which I have never used. I've just read a list of the new features from fs9
to fsx, and its not exactly great

eg,
Better weather system (I dont use default weather)
Better default aircraft (I dont use default aircraft)
Better atc (I dont use default atc)
More vintage planes (i dont fly vintage planes)
max altitude increased from 99999 (i dont fly that high anyway)

Only 2 upgrades that do anything for me
Improved graphics including enhanced texture resolution, new Earth model facilitating polar flights, true road data, region-specific textures, minimal
3D animals, star constellations, etc.
Improved default airport functionality — appropriate dynamic vehicles, jetways etc -

Something about people who bought the product from this site using klick and pay, Dan would have to manually process all of the orders.

The way I see it, fsp users are getting a rebate (29 euro instead of full price) but so is everyone else for a limited period.

What to say ?

Personnaly I think FsPX is way too underpriced. 29.99 is a gift, 36.90 is slightly underpriced in the current market.

-First I see many utility that would have took me 3 month to do priced 25 euro in the current market.
-FsPX contain at least 3-4 differents addons in it that could each be priced 20-25 euro.
-The "real price/work/rentability" is probably around 50 euro (Fs addon don't sales so much in contrary of what you think, one can't live with
only one addon) , the "normal commercial" price seeing market and comparing with other products features is probably more about 39-44 euro.
-FsPX contain things that are absolutely "impossible" to do with FsX, I had to redo them all and find new one for FsX. I don't know how much worth "impossible" but I'm certain it's not free or cheap.
-What you pay is work time, first version took me 3000 hours second version took me 3000 hours again. I don't know you but I personnaly
can't work years for free and give lifetime ""update"" while getting no incomes anymore. (or so less that 1 years of work would allow 6 month of income)
-There is a free demo to try, you think it worth the price or not there is no obligations for you. The deal is even more fair than in a restaurant
because you cannot taste food there before purchasing.

Last:
-There is at least 20'000 lines of code more than in FsP2004 , 20'000 other lines at least where completely reworked and 80% of the utilities reworked and new one writtens. (I did not spend 3000h crossing my fingers and waiting that the things update itself)
-The download make 60 megabytes more, contain about 1100 more files 150 completely new payload models and 600 more sounds
than FsP2004 with a much more quality.

I'm deeply sad that you think that FsPX is the same version and don't see all the work and new things I have put in it or think that I'm tied to
update lifetime FsP for almost free or that FsPX is overpriced but neither reasons are valids. I'm even more sad that you write that while FsP is totally underpriced yet, you can have a map utility or a TOC calculator for almost the same price.

I know I'm commercially idiot this is why I'm poor actually (again) but I will at least not do as in 2005 argu endlessly why I ask money for my hundred hours of work or waste my time discussing the price like in somes country. I'll put something as above in the FAQ and close every thread about this subject with a link to the FAQ.

In anyway whatewer price I put even 7.50 euro, there will still be some peoples that think it's overpriced.
