Well, since I won't be home in another hour and a half...you'll be in OERK...hopefully in one piece of course Isn't that a war zone or
dangerous area?

Edit: Had an very interesting departure from OJAI....a turkey or 2 flew into the #2 engine of the MD-11 and caused an immediate shut-down of that engine. It was quite interesting to take over manually after I had just turned on the AP. The Skysim MD-11's autothrottle does a piss-poor job of trying to keep up the targeted IAS anyway, so when the #2 engine died, I had to fight the aircraft to keep it from hitting the dirt It stalled at 156 knots with 28 degrees of flaps, but somehow I got that sick bird back up to flying speed to make a turn back towards the airport for a nice landing.

After so many flights without any problems, I just had to get it with this flying brick

Count me in, also...I flew in the pattern at OJAI with only 2 of 3 engines operating....and I was online ...just later than
Drewmeister. Well, it really doesn't matter to me, as I got tons of points for the near disaster...hehehe!

I flew at the correct time, (well a little early, but was still there at correct time) and only I was there,

Finally got around to posting the screenshits of my inability to successfully leave OJAI on Tuesday....

Taking off RWY 26L, all is well so far:

This Md-11 does not handle flying on 2 engines very well, so I had to nurse this flying brick back around for an ILS approach due to the
bad sand storm, but I stalled the big baby at 4,000 ft and into a turn to intercept the LOC RWY 26L. Luckily I lost only 600 ft. before getting
the aircraft back up to speed:

Actually, on a general note, I would really appreciate if online participants would send me a quick PM. Indeed, most of the time Joe or Martin inform

Re: the pics, Joe, those Cheyenne shots are true beauts! Love the last shot.. Could have told you that that MD-11 livery would cause nothing but
problems with a name like that!
