Purchasing more than one of the same aircraft type

Hi there, I've been enjoying FSP for a few weeks and, having started with just one plane (ATR 72), my virtual airline has made enough money to buy a
new aircraft. Unfortunately only enough to buy another ATR 72. In the company manager menu, when I select 'Buy current FS plane', I get the options to
buy other ATR 72s. However, when I click to buy one, I get an error message telling me that I have already bought that plane! How can I buy another
plane of the same type? Thanks!

You need to edit the aircraft.cfg file for that plane.

Duplicate the entire section with the heading fltsim.0 as fltsim.1 (unless there is already such .1 section). Then add something to the
lines title, ui_variation and description of the copy.

This is normally used to give a plane type multiple textures or tail numbers.

FsPax is happy with this because it identifies the aircraft by its title.

Looks fine to me.

Did you actually select that second aircraft before starting the flight? On the "Create a flight" dialog, click on "Change..." for the "Selected
Aircraft" and make sure that "Variation" is "ATR 72-500 II".
