Mid Air Collision on Final Approach

I was on final approach to ILS 12 at KMIA when I was run over by another faster aircraft. That is one of the problems with FS 9 ATC.
I guess I will have to use radar contact from now on I think it blocks out AI traffic on approaches.What a way to end a long and nearly
perfect flight.

RC4 is anyhow better than default atc but to keep ai traffic out of the way better use aismooth or aiseperation

There was a suggestion made to me that if you paused the flight then selected the sim rate to 16x, that will clear out the AI traffic. Then
put it back to normal sim rate before unpausing. This definitely works, and you won't get penalized for time acceleration At least I don't
have to worry about none of those AI Kamakazies taking me and my passengers to a smoking hole

True, anything more than 4x will remove ai traffic but it's a bit over the top maybe to suddenly have no traffic at all anymore

I use AIsmooth and I've never had a problem. I thnk you can get it on AVSIM or SurClaro.com. Actually, I've had a couple of very realistic
approaches with a faster aircraft behind that is asked to slow down for me by the add-on program. It's (AIsmooth) freeware and works
great.

I just got it today. Works perfectly.

Dern you would think MS would figure this stuff out before releasing the FS series. So many of us long for the definitive Install and Fly the
Sim.

Oh well. At least it keeps budding programers busy trying to fix, solve, modify, improve, complete, the original shortfalls in the vanila
version of FS9 .

Keep them sprinkles and whipcream coming <-- ( moment of euphoria )
