Crash when switching windowed mode

Hello,

I haven't been able to find any other posts on this but I have recently moved to p3d v3.2 and I've been having a problem where I will get a black screen/ frozen screen when switching between windowed and full window modes. P3d works fine and will switch until I start fspassengers and then I will get this problem that forces me to shut down p3d. I can still hear p3d running in the background. I have tested when fspassengers is not running and it only happens once I start fspassengers.

Any ideas?

You could try running it in windowed mode but with no border which will make it look like it is full screen but you can access other screens

This could also be a function of graphics card drivers. Sometimes the latest ones aren't the best. What kind of card do you have?

I am using the Nvidia GTX980M which is up to date at the moment. Is that going to be the issue you think?

You can roll back the drivers to an earlier version to see if it clears up the issue. Also, check to see what the DPI scaling setting is as well. Sometimes the DPI scaling is the issue.

That is set at 100% and I've never changed it. I guess I will have to go back to an earlier drive and see if that fixes it.

Sometimes nividia drivers can be crying wolf and cause problems. For example I can't play Minecraft for more than 1 hour withut the drivers saying there's a problem but not specifing it. It might be good to do a full computer anti virus scan, something might have corrupted files on your drive

It is strange because I will change from full screen to windowed and it will go black and I will have to exit p3d but when I restart and start a flight with fsp for the second time it seems to work fine.

Just always go in windowed, it save you the Hassel and still gives you what you want, the sim (almost put game)
