It seems to work great, thanks a lot. Now i'm prepared for bugs.
Though I do still feel bad about changing stuff. Turning instant record off woldn't be regarded as cheat would it?

In your case it should not. If it was a cheat, I wouldn't do it.
If you was playing mission that has instant savings, than it would be a cheat.
But you do not play a mission, so there's no difference if you set it before company creation or now.
On the other hand, if you turn on instant saves, than it may be considered a cheat since you may fool somebody that you made a great
perogress with hard setting, while it was in easy infact.
Another thing is that you do this only to protect yourself from bugs. Protection from bugs is not a cheat too.
Besides, you do not cheat since you do not know how to change it anyway.
So, whole responsibility is on me.
And if someone will question your fair play, just send him to me, and I'll explain him everything.
I can add some more arguments if you are still in doubt.
