Ok here I am, sat on Belfast runway (slightly off centre, the reason will become clear soon)

Ive set the freq into the radio, but it is inactive. (you can see there is no numbers in the distance measuring top right)




So i click this button, to switch over the active and inactive...



Now you can see the freq is active. The dme is showing your distance to runway, and the ils in the big pink circle is working (im slightly off centre
so you can see the needle working)

I read the post and looked at the screenshots and followed your instruction and low and behold it all worked. Why did I not notice the
standby button before? probably cause I had just noticed that my frquency was on standby mode and for the first time realized that may
have something to do with it. I had a nice touchdown on Belfast City fogged out and at night. I can fly the planes, its the intricacies of the
gadgets, what they do and when to use them gets me. thanks to you I have just learned a very valuable lesson. I can now start my round
the world trip with internet weather in the knowledge I can get on to tarmac using my ils, manually of course. Thank you soooooo much.
Very appreciated. And thanks to all who have answerered my post. I just love small planes, might have to jump intpo the 737 to get me
across the atlantic, lol. Dont be surprised if there are more instrument questions soon. Hope you all dont mind.
