Strange behavior

I was flying my DC-3 from EHTW to EPWA when suddenly the enignes started loosing power just like it looks after bird strike (at least it looked like
this when I had a bird strike). Then the lamp of L enigne oil started to indicate some malfunction and the tachometer indicators kept dropping. I
declared emergency and landed at the closest airport. And what happened? FSPax told me, my emergency was false and I got penalized. I'm confused!

Im not sure and Im taking a stab at this...

It could have been something that if you reduced the RPM of the engine it would have cooled it down and you could have landed safely
without calling an emergency, or had you left it as it was without declaring an emergency, see if it would cause an engine flameout at
which time you do delcare the emergency.

Then again it could have been an anomaly I had similar in the DC-3 though not sure if I was using the same one as you. I was using the
MAAM R4D6

If the First Officer says nothing, just cancel destination and land at the nearest suitable airport and end the flight. Wait until the first officer
says anything before declaring emergencies. Sometimes he won't say anything in some emergencies, but you dont get penalised for not declaring mayday
in these cases.

Unfortunately I had no RPM to reduce, since in the end the plane was near to stall since both engines lost most of their RPM (fuel consumption was on
maximum).

I think I will do as Jetflyer said, allthough it's completely weird in this situation.

I was wondering, it's propably stupid but since the failure happened in the exact second I connected to VATSIM, so maybe it was the reason.

No, it's not weird, it is caused by FsP and it's the build up to one of the engine failure emergencies. You just jumped the gun early by
declaring an emergency before the engine blew that's all. You should still have gotten bonus points for safely landing the plane but
probably not enough to cover the false Mayday and the fine!

In real world, this would classify as a PANPAN as one of the key components of the airplane is not functioning at a level where the plane
can be operated safely. However, FsP doesn't recognize this a this time.

So good job on spotting the oil temp increase and the decrease in power. Next time (it should happen again until you've gone through all
the emergencies if you stick with this pilot), simply reduce your power to a setting that allows you to keep flying and land ASAP... You can
also put the plane in a shallow descent to make sure you don't stall if you don't have enough speed and more then enough altitude. You
could also reduce the power on the affected engine and max the good one out.
