Will I Need A New Joystick???

hey,
i fly around alot in FS but there is almost always something wrong with the throttle. I cant reverse because itjust pops back to idle, and
when i want at idle it pops forward and i start moving without will. I have calibrated my joystick many time but i cant fix it. Please help, its
annoying, really really really annoying.

that's normal
When you land press and hold (By default) F2 to activate the reverse throttle, when your done press F1 to return them to idle.
The aircraft rolling forward without power is also normal, it's designed so that some aircraft could taxi without using the throttle, but they just
keep accelerating so you will need the wheel brake to help with corners

I don't think that's what he means. I had the same problem before.

When you have the throttle of your joystick on idle, in flightsim it actually isn't on idle. This way you can never have reverse thrust.
I must honestly say it solved itself.

Go to the options menu and choose Controls and then Sensitivities. Try messing around there a bit with the throttle settings.
You should be able to find a solution there.

awsome, it works perfectly now, but i have one question, how come this never happened until i uninstalled fsX and reinstalled fs2004?

When you reinstall, all settings will probably be set to default again... I had the same thing when reïnstalling FS9 after deïnstalling FSX ghehe...
