hey guys ive been having problem with the 747 and the weight of the aircraft and cg and all that. for what ever reason all of the 747 from
posky always off by the cg or by the weight. eg. no matter how much i fill the plane with pax, the cg just stays aft of the aircraft. Does
anyone have the solution or maybe the right plane i can download to use for long hauls?

You might want to go to Boeing.com and get the tech specs on the 744 then edit the .cfg to match up the numbers. Basically you want to keep an eye on
the empty weight, mtow and fuel. Once all that matches up, go into the payload editer for FSPax and adjust your baggage areas to get a good CG.
Otherwise I would recommend going back to the default 744 and just change the paint

i even tried changing the paint. but no luck. I guess im just not good at the editing part of flightsim. So when i go to boeing.com change
only the specs for the weight and balance?

In the FAQ, you will find the answer.

In short, very few downloaded Opensky planes include the updated FS2004 FDE's. You need to manually grab those and put them in.
Almost all Opensky aircraft are configured FS2002.

i still dont see anything about how to change the weight on the aircraft from the link. Oh yeah thanks for the link though. However can
someone just send me an email of a proper model download please for the 747. I would really appreciate it

1. Download the FDE update.
2. Replace the aircraft.cfg as well as the air/mdl files as supplied.
---It's not automatic and the .cfg file is where the weight/balance data is located.---

okay I got the download to work, however within the folder, are 747-100 747-400 etc... it had couple of files within. Air file and I assume
the other is aircraft.cfg. Do you just change the file that name that is long and drawn out to aircraft.cfg and put it with the folder of the posky
aircraft? also if thats the case. the aircraft.cfg had eg for texture, united. So do i have to download the united aircraft in order to use that
cfg. Help guys.
