Brad, how come a plane will land on a carrier with crosswind since the carrier can turn to avoid this???

Pagir, just guessing here but I'm thinking they probably need to get trained in all landing situations. Of course whenever it's possible the
carrier will try to get in the best favorable position for the aircrafts. But maybe it's not always possible if you are engaged in a war? Also
the wind is not always blowing perpendicular to the swells, which is the best situation. In this case you will have the carrier pitching up
and down and sailing into the wind. Wind blowing perpendicular to the swells it's not always possible though. Sometimes swells can get
pretty big and if the carrier were to position itself into the wind it would have a considerable amount of rolling that maybe is less desirable
than a 20kts crosswind.Same thing when you have to ditch applys.
I don't know if it makes sense and sorry if I confused you but I think the saki it's starting to have an effect...!
