Well at last I got the PMDG 737 as well as the 747... I know i'll be using the 737 alot before switching to the 747 but decided to get it so long for
the longer flights. I didnt have time to really use it thus far as i'm working thru the manuals with heavy focus on the FMC part. Thus far I havent
flow the 737 and programmed a few routes into the FMC trying to get the hang of it first... takes alot of patience to not just jump in and fly tho
You knew I was going to bug you once I got the PMDG 737
The question is in 2 parts... one for Arrival airports with STARS and one for those Airports without...
At what point is it best to switch over to manual landing if the airport has a STAR?
If there isnt a STAR... do you disable the autopilot earlier and fly the final procedures (Approach, Landing) of the flight yourself?
Im just trying to get a roughly feel/understanding of the correct way of doing things as im not used to a FMC... call me an old generation person...
