Recently, I flew into an airport where the weather was at ILS mimimums. It was not windy, it was not rainy, but it was foggy as all hell.
At any rate, I noticed that I did not get any "extreme weather" bonus for this. I tried it at another airport with the same sort of conditions and
did not receive anything there either.
I'm sure that your engine looks for turbulence and precipitation as qualifiers for that, but how hard would it be to add visibility as one as
well? Say, anything under 1SM and/or a ceiling of 200-300 feet AGL?
I think for the most part, most CAT I ILS approaches are right around 200-1. Thoughts? Ideas?
