Anybody Notice Missions Unstable

Has anyone noticed that some of the missions in FSX lock up the game? I can't play FSX all day long under free flight conditions but
several of the missions I have to save every 5 minutes because sooner or later it's gonna freeze the game and I have to start from my last
save point.

Not a problem that I have. But I had crashes a lot in missions before, when my hardware was to low for the settings in FSX... Can you try
to lower the settings and check if the problem continues (and do lower it a lot everywhere to come prove the point)?

I could try and see what happens. I mean have a C2Q Q6600 O/Ced to 2.8GHz and 8GB of DDR2 800 and vista 64 bit with direct x 10
(could be part of the problem) with 175.xx nvidia drivers an an 8800GT G92 core. I mean the computer is blazing and I get high 30's and
into the 40's even in heavy traffic around large cities. Could be something with all the vocal commands and stuff though.

To test things I have started trying the mission Austrian Alpine soaring and I have flown 3 times 1h20m without FSX crashes (failing the
mission at landing - I will now save anfter reaching the finishline and find out how to land and get the mission completed, I think maybe
I've landed in the wrong direction soo far). (edit: the reason why I could not get mission success is now known - UTX EU were to blame for airport data corruption)

I have Vista 64bit just like you and I have the same proccessor and I have voicecontrol and head tracking the only difference is that I run it
in DX9 (which I do by mistake - I must remember to switch to DX10 in missions, my AI traffric is still in DX9 only soo I will have to switch
inbetween a bit...) My graphics card i 9800GX2 and I have 4GB of memory - I run with sliders in FSX giving me 7-20 fps (locked at 20) at
airports.

The crash I warned you about happens when you would get 0fps, soo you can ignore that. And I wonder if you get game freezes or if it is
real crashes? You know the beauty of Vista is that if a game freezes it recovers and continues after a while, in XP and older OS it used to
be terminal and pushing the power button were the solution, now in Vista that is gone (I have not had an terminal game freeze in Vista
and I have played many different games and had temporary freezes only)... The temporay freeze I get in FSX can be 30sec or up to 4min
long, but the point is that the game recovers (and I think it is due to background activities in Vista not FSX, I think if I start myu computer
and goers directly to FSX it runs w/o freeze but if I surf the web for a while and play other games first the run FSX then it becomes more
freezes...)

I removed dust from the proccessor fan and the computer is now operating better. I keep making this posts in forums that I have cleaned
the inside of the comp because I think that many don't do that and you might wake up to do it now! I definatly had overheat related issues,
the 9800GX2 is hot as hell and it might continue until I buy a new beteer fan for the proccessor or switch to watercooling...
