Pilot points
Might be worth a review
Basically, currently a carrot and stick system as it stands a big stick and little or no carrot
No problems with the major stuff, stalls, negative G, over speed and other aircraft limit stuff that can get you and you passengers killed.
However the stuff that you can toggle off such as lights and altimeter settings and so on which is basically procedural has a
disproportional high penalty for no reward
I feel it would be better if you turn it off you get no penalty as you do now but if you turn it on and risk the penalty you should get the reward
such as “followed correct procedures + 50 pts or such like.
This mean some aircraft you will need to turn it off because they lack the obstruction light or its tied in with another light on some models
and you will get no reward or penalty.
Also no pilot should ever be below 0 points, I have one called Test pilot who has about -6000pts, he will never get promoted..At least in
his lifetime and I use him to fly new planes to see what the penalties, and what functions don’t work on new aircraft models.
This means if a virtual airline uses FSP has a new pilot and he screws up just a couple times he is very unlikely to be promoted ever.
Better to have him no lower than zero and as he reaches the standard he will get promoted or demoted…but never less than zero
otherwise promotion will be always out of reach
It’s a thought
