Can anyone tell me if there is a payload file available for the Feelthere/Wilco Cessna 208 Deluxe payware package, and specifically for
the cargo AND pax versions?

I own the feelThere Caravan! Deluxe package (branded as JustFlight's "Caravan: The Workhorse of the Skies" here in the UK).

I've got into making Payload Models for FSP - just uploaded one for Mike Stone's C404 Titan (might not be available yet though).

I'll have a crack at making one for the Caravan Cargomaster.

OK, I've had a go at it - I think it might be OK, but I'm only going to be able to start testing it tonight (when I fly my 35th hour of flight and am
promoted to a C4 rank pilot - I'll be able to buy the 'van!)

How is this aircraft? is it wonderful? Fair? Not so good?

I just love it to bits!

In FSPassengers terms, she doesn't have great endurance; about 2hr 30min (after reserves), and she's not as fast as some GA-class aircraft, but she'll
seat 8 people (the Super Cargomaster will carry 4215lbs of freight) and will take you in to a short dirt runway in the middle of nowhere without any
problems. And, you will be able to fly her from as early on in your career as C4 level (but she'll set you back - about $2.5million for a new one
(which is about $700,000 more than she would in real life).

The model is nicely made, certainly a noticeable improvement over the default 'Van - the virtual cockpit is really nice; the passenger, cargo, and
pilot's side doors open (as do all the doors on the cargo pod); the step ladders fold out and extend, and the weather effects work very nicely.

The aircraft can be flown entirely from the virtual cockpit, with all the switches and sliders being clickable. The control yokes and rudder pedals
move in response to your joystick input. The interior textures seem a bit low-res to me (especially the ceiling and floors), but they're alright.

If you use TrackIR or ActiveCamera, you can look over the top of the panel and see the nose (some aircraft's VC models seem to stop at the firewall -
this one is different).

Handling-wise, she's approved by real 'Van pilots. I'm not a pilot (I wish ) but you can tell by the way she handles that this IS supposed to be
how a high-wing single-engine turboprop will react under real-life conditions. I don't know how to explain it, but it just feels right.

Definitely go for the "Deluxe" version if you do drop the coins on her (unless you already own the RealityXP or SimFlyers Garmin GNS gauges) - the
feelThere Deluxe Caravan includes the SimFlyers gauges - the Garmin GNS530, GNS430, GMA340 (audio panel), and GTX320 (transpojnder) - which are
invaluable additions to the aircraft, and are clearly far better than the default FS9 GPS.

The layered paint kit is downloadable from the feelThere site, as are a number of very nice quality repaints.

However, since these are included on the CD version (which is always the Deluxe version), it's probably best just to get the CD. You can get it
through either Wilco Publishing (where it is known as "Wilco Fleet: Caravan!") or JustFlight (where it is known as "Caravan: The Workhorse of the
Skies"). The JustFlight disc also includes a 30-minute video of a real Caravan in operation (I don't know whether it's on the Wilco disc or not).
