Payload models

I have searched through the forums for help with this topic and I am at a loss. If there is a reason, I don't purchase this add-on, it will be the payload model system. I have
downloaded a project opensky 737-900.

I have tried to rename the ini about 15 different things trying to get it to load the 737-900 model. The only thing it will load is the base 737 adn I am ready to uninstall and
call it a day. Is this a feature that unlocks after purchase or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

I've downloaded those. My issue is that I can't figure out what to name them so they load in the "load aircraft" payload model dropdown menu. That is where my issue
seems to be.

Do as follows:
Copy both the Jpeg and cfg into the payload model folder in FSP. It must have the jpeg and cfg to activate. I just downloaded the Alaska Airlines
737-900 and the model is now displayed .
keep in mind that not all aircraft are going to display, FSP gives you options to select an aircraft that will fit your needs. Look at the FAQ's and procedures and that will help
you. Now I am going to delete mine as I just did this to make sure it worked.

Tried and Failed. The plane in my first post is the one I am trying to do. What would you name the ini file if you were to try using it? I have tried numerous combinations of
737-900/United/Opensky/737-9/7379/737 9. I like the concept of the game, this just blows my mind.

Sean, this thread might explain a little better the issues with Posky aircraft. I'm sure others have tried various tweaks to get a decent payload
model built for this aircraft, but if the model is bad itself, what is FS Passengers going to do to make a bad model better?

Fact is, Dan has made payload models for most default style aircraft you will find in FSX, FS9,etc. Users like yourself have spent countless hours
developing payload models for various payware/freeware addon aircraft and have uploaded them to the "More Downloads" section for every user's benefit.
To be unhappy with FsP because it doesn't cure the payload ills of a freeware addon like posky is anger that is sorely misdirected at FsP.

While I respect the work that has been put into this program, the payload editor does not make sense to me. I am not a programmer or any tech whiz. I am a guy who
enjoys playing flight sim. Something as simple as just being able to choose the model for the plane from all models would make this program much more enjoyable.
Having to try to rename something in hopes that it will be recognized, but in reality won't, is not my idea of enjoyment. Good luck with future editions.

Sean, there isn't a one size fits all solution to every issue that comes along with all of the different freeware and addon aircraft that people use
with FsP. Sometimes renaming a .ini file for it to work, particularly for FS9, is just one example. I'm not a programmer or very techie, but I do make
the effort to try and make things work. My previous post fully explains this.

Good luck finding any kind of software that works perfectly every time in every possible situation right out of the box. That's just not the real world.

If I can add one last thing, If the payload model is not available to the exact aircraft you are looking for and none can be found in the "More Downloads " section of this
forum, you can always change the aircraft CFG to match what is available. Then it will match with FSP. That is the great thing about freeware aircraft, customizing to your
own taste!
