FSP crashes on Company Manager

I recently bought a new computer and am trying to use FSP onto it but keep getting this very strange error.

I am still in the process of trying to create an airline and pilot profile, but every time I try to do that... FSP freezes (sort of).

I'm able to open the "Company Manager" window, but then after I purchase an aircraft the entire program freezes and I can't click anywhere
else. The buttons on FSP respond, but they don't take me to their respective pages. The only way for me to then close FSX is to shut it
down via Task Manager.

See below: I have the "Statistics" tab clicked on, but it keeps me on the "Company Aircraft" tab. Additionally, when I try to click "Close" from
there, it tells me "Aircraft already Bought!" And when I close that, then it stops appearing every time I click "Close" again. All the buttons
can still be clicked on, but nothing happens.



I have FSX SP2, Windows 8, 16GB RAM, GeForce GTX 650, i7.

I also have the PMDG 737 NGX installed, but I've applied the "UI dll" fix and even tried deleting MissionPanels.cfg... both to no avail.

I really appreciate any help with this.

The problem may be in Windows 8. Since FsP was developed primarily for XP, there is no guarantee that it would work with Win 7 or 8. I wouldn't even
think about using this program for Win 8. I have been fortunate that it has worked with Win 7 after applying the UIautomationcore.dll fix early on.
Unfortunately I don't believe the developer, Dan, is going to develop FsP/X as operating systems develop.

I wrote a PM to Whiskey about this very issue. There should be a huge disclaimer stating that this program was written for Win XP
and if it works on your new computer then you should feel lucky.

I suppose running FSP in WinXP compatibility mode can't fix it right?

I'll give it a try anyway.

That sucks there are no updates. FSP is simply awesome, but is getting more and more out of touch. FS Captain is interesting, but hardly as entertaining as FSP.

Maybe Lord Dan will make a huge update one day and solve all the worlds problems! Well ok, maybe just mine

im have windows 8 and it was working perfectly, suddenly from one day to another it started doing that. already unistalled everything my can
get it to work.
