Reinstall woes

OK I have searched around but cannot find an answer

I have been using FSPx since release, really love it

I have just reinstalled FSX to SP2 level on a new dedicated drive. I have reinstalled all my other addins no problem. I am just stuck with
FSpx which hangs FSX at startup just after the sounds saying welcome to FSPassengers. The first time I installed it accepted the DLL,
now no matter what uninstall reinstall I do it just hangs, no message visable, no nothing. If I uninstall FSX starts fine.

Can someone explain how to proceed. I have my database folder backed up, now I just want to get back to flying!

Can no one suggest anything?

I have a pristine new FSX installation on XP, yet an install of FSPassengersx just hangs FSX at the blue colored intro screen just after the
sounds play, (although its window title says Welcome to FSpassengers). I cant see or tab to any other messages, all i can do is kill out
FSX. If I uninstall FSPassengers, FSX and everything else seems fine.

I would venture to ask what SP you're using on XP. I've found that SP3 for WinXP screws FSX with FSP quite badly, in the way your describing. I
uninstalled SP3 from my XP and reverted to SP2 for XP.

Well I am on XP SP3 though I have never had any problems before.

I actually just fixed this by accident. After much removing and installing I hit SPACEBAR accidentally one time while the blue FSX welcome
screen was up and voila, it continued to load and FSP was up and running. Now the second time I loaded FSX, I got the FSP welcome
screen pop and again FSX loading stops. I was then able to tick the FSP welcome screen to not appear again.

So for some reason the FSP welcome screen was not popping up but hitting space cleared it from its hidden state.

Hope this helps anyone else who may get caught in this loop.
