Freezing FS9 help please.

Hello all
im a long time user returning to FSP and FS9.

I have done a reinstall of FS9 and FSP.... im using VOZ scenery packs and VOZ AI packs and the default FSP.

I am having issues where the sim is freezing at the start of FSP flights. I can run the FS9 sim by itself but if i start a FSP flight after 2 or 3
minutes of taxiing or loading passengers it freezes. Th screen stays the same but all the nise continue as if the screen is normal. eg i
can hit F4 and take off but i cant see where im going as the screen is static at the time of freezing.

Now ive done some searches and ive already done a re-install of FSP... i have also read a lot about CTD errors but not anything on the
sim just freezing.

This happens with default and 3rd party planes and at multiple aiports at multiple times.

Can anyone help?

i changed to window mode, now it works fine. il have to live with it.

Wierd, this has been happening to vista users but not XP. Did you attempt to load DX10 or anything like that?

Nope id didnt attempt to do any of that. i dont have the flashest graphics card (5200 xt) so maybe that why i cant run full screen?? anyway
if anyone has a solution il be happy to take it otherwise il stick to window mode.

Windowed mode is better anyway for me, it allows me to have a bunch of extra windows like the throttles, GPS, 2D panel, radio stack, and
whatever else open all the time and I don't have to open and close them, I can keep them on my second monitor and move them around
and such, also windowed mode allows me to surf the web and get on instant messengers while keeping flight simulator visible even
though it's not in the foreground.

yeah agree jason although i only have one monitor. i still dont have problem with windowed mde it seems so much more stable and i
dont eall yhave problem with the edge of the screen at top and bottom being visable, plus i hate hitting alt to bring up the tool bar.

I guess you have at least a dual core computer.....
Check what cores FS is using. Adding or removing a core could solve your problem

NAH IM ON A OLD RIG....

PENTIUM 4... CURRENTLY LOOKING AT AN UPGRADE I THINK FS IS GOING GREAT CONSIDERING MY PC IS OLD.

PS JUST FLEW MY FIRST 100% FLIGHT ON FSP...
