Good early morning from Oklahoma City,
I currently fly the LevelD 763 for United Virtual Airlines, and recently purchased FSPassengers. I have been using the LevelD with
FS2Crew for several months now without incident. The two programs seem to communicate quite well provided I adjust the LevelD
configuration editor prior to loading FS9. FS2Crew is able to identify my ZFW (adjusted for passengers and cargo), and these numbers
match those generated from the LevelD configuration editor.
However, after playing with the combination of LevelD, FS2Crew, and FSPassengers, I am at a loss for the most effective way to manage
my passenger and cargo loads. I have tried adjusting the LevelD configuration editor to reflect zero passengers, zero cargo, and zero
fuel and then allow FSPassengers to load passengers, cargo, and fuel. However, even on a 2.3 hour flight from Seattle to Los Angeles
with 40.0lbs (x1,000) of fuel and 156 passengers the plane felt very light during departure.
Assumption: when the LevelD configuration editor is adjusted prior to loading FS9 the flight dynamics are adjusted to reflect ZFW.
Again, this s true only if the configuration is set and saved prior to loading FS9.
Statement: using the LevelD configuration editor and loading zero cargo, zero passengers, and minimal fuel will result in a very light
763 which zips through the air.
Q: if I leave the loads at zero from within the LevelD configuration editor and adjust the passenger and cargo load from
FSPassengers, will the 763 handle accordingly- based on the ZFW calculated by FSPassengers, or will it still handle like a mini rocket?
I have to assume that FSPassengers does not adjust the aircraft flight dynamics- this because the airplane and FS9 is already loaded
when the loading process from within FSPassengers begins.
Having said all this, what is the best way to manage loads when using aircraft that come with a built-in configuration editor
(LevelD, PMDG, etc...)?
I can't wait to hear some of your ideas!
