PAX's wearing seatbelt's should be less

I want to make a suggestion for any future updates, in that when the seatbelt sign is off at the cruise the amount of PAX's wearing seatbelts should
be very low at around 20-30 or so out of 120-140. At the moment when I turn off the seatbelt sign at the cruise there are about 80 out of 130 PAX's
wearing seatbelts which is highly inaccurate because any flight I can remember being on, and I have plenty of people who've seen the same, everyone
took their seatbelt off when the sign went off.

Hmmm...I'm not so sure....I don't like getting up and moving around...just like staying put.....so I do as the pilots do up front..... keeping my
seatbelt fastened. But, then again maybe I'm the minority I just never noticed everyone unbuckling when the sign goes off. Anyone else?

Do you get up and go around and check each persons seatbelt when the sign goes off? Yes, some may remove seatbelts. Then, there are those passengers who are truly concerned about their safety and the safety of those around them. If one were to
LISTEN to the announcements (which rarely happens), one would hear,it is recommended you keep your seatbelt fastened
while seated.
Most real world airlines include this in their announcements. Reason being. One never knows when unexpected turbulence may
occur. I know this because I am a flight attendant and I have to say that people ignoring safety advisments is very annoying. Then, when
someone gets hurt they try to sue the airline for their own neglegence. I could really get on my soapbox with this one, but I will end it here
by saying that is one thing that absolutely should not change. This is modeled correctly.

Actually, this is the way Dan originally had the program set, so that less PAX were wearing their seatbelts. However, at the request of
myself, and several other beta testers, Dan increased the number of PAX wearing seatbelts. It's now at a much more realistic number
than it was previously.

Like Brian mentioned above, we make announcements with specific instructions to keep seatbelts fastened in case we encounter any
unexpected rough air. I'd say that at least 80% of PAX normally have their seatbelts on (especially with SWA, since we mainly fly short-
hops).

Gotta say I only been on one airliner, on a pleasure trip to a UK airshow in a 747. On the way out we all sat there buckled up. On the way
back we got put on hold over Guildford to the SW of London, and everyone with a camera was up and filming out the windows. Once they
said to do so though we all quickly buckled up again though some still took some fantastic shots if they were near to the glass. That's
one day I will never forget if I live to be a Million.

Most of my airline passengering these days is Liverpool to Belfast Aldergrove on Squeezyjet. Definately not the shortest airline hop in history, but
it definately doesn't tend to be far off... No sooner have they reached cruising altitude near the Isle of Man than they are over the Isle of Man and
descending again. Most people don't even bother unfastening their seatbelts and it is rare for someone to make the mad dash to the toilet and back.

Just for the record, they cruise at FL190. If I ever get far enough as being able to fly "real" airliners with FSP, I might have to reproduce that
route!

It's funny HOW FAST the pax fasten their seat belt upon seeing the sign on. Need to update on this.

I don't think so (might depend of the plane)
the number is increasing fast but they all fasten their belt in same time so 5-10 secondes
should be sufficients... I agree howewer that FsP doesn't include the guy that is sick and
busy in the toilettes

When there's turbulence, you could see a pax or two unbuckling to run for the toilet once in a while...

All flights I've been on were only in BAe 146 or an A32X so it hardly takes a walk down the isle to notice people wearing/not wearing their seatbelts.
But when making a visit to the toilet I did notice that very few people were actually wearing them. And I don't need the likes of you to tell me why
they make such safety announcements as I've heard it quite a few times but be realistic here, not many people actually listen to those announcements
nor wear their seatbelt for the reason of those announcements.
Its only a suggestion and if you's don't think its worth updating because Southwest PAX's wear their seatbelts then fine but IMO its not very realistic.

I think of it like this......realism is ultimately relative to what you experience. If FsP doesn't fit the bill for you in terms of realism then think of
it as one of those promotional public service announcements....(i.e. keep your seatbelt securely fastened around your waist when
seated!)

My last real flight as a PAX was from KSEA to PANC in a 734 which was about a 3.5-4 hour flight....sure people were going to the
bathroom, standing up for no good reason, dancing a jig and what have you, but the majority of people I saw were seated and you could
safely assume they were wearing their belts........and then there was me drooling on the window fixated on the breathtaking scenery.

In the end I don't think FsP can be faulted here though.

Yes if they fasten their belt at a same time it's ok.

I mean it's like there's no delay between the 'seat belt sign on' and pax fastening.
It goes like 1 sec after the belt sign comes out, the number of pax having belt fastened shoot immediately.

In the point of realism, you know maybe they are lying on their seat, walking, or in the toilet.
They have to look for the seat belt (i mean like sit straight, turn around the back and grab the belt out), or return to their seat from toilet, and
buckle it.

You get the point ? , lol i tried my best to explain.

LOL! It's just makes me laugh when you turn on the seat belt sign, how fast the passengers put on their seat belt. The passengers seem
very loyal and obedient.

Here is how I would see it work properly because I have flown millions of times.

- Before take-off is okay. Everyone is wearing a seatbelt. The stewardess has to check to see if everyone is wearing a seatbelt.
- Before landing. It should take at least 10 to 15 minutes before everyone has fasten their seatbelt. Some people are still rushing to the
toilet/restroom, some people are putting their carry-on bags on top and so on. Also the stewardess has to come and collect all cups and
trash. The stewardess has to make sure everyone is wearing a seatbelt before they put their's on.

If you are going to quote, please use the right quote. I don't work for Southwest, Brad does. Secondly, Thanks for validating my point
when YOU say "not many people actually listen to those announcements nor wear their seatbelt for the reason of those
announcements."
You are sooooo very right when you say that people don't listen to announcements. They also don't take time to familiarize
themselves with
saftey proceedures. These are the very people who become injured in someway and want to fault the airline for their stupidity. They will
also be the ones who most likely won't survive in a catastrophe because of their I don't have to listen to you, I know everything attitude.

And Yes You Are Entitled To Your Own Opinion. However, this is a game add-on. It's is about as close to realistic as it can get with limitations that may be imposed upon the developer. If everyone wants Dan to add and add and add maxing out the limits of their system, he can probably do that, but then everyone would be complaining about how the program drags down ther system.

So, sit back, relax, and enjoy your 2h06 minute flight and have a complimentary beverage.
