I have gotten the "landed at wrong airport" message 3 outa 5 flights so far now, and every time I land at the right airport. Last flight I went from
KMCI Kansas City to KDEV Denver. And NO I do not have ANY 3rd party scenery installed at all. It is all defualt FS2004 scenery. NO I did not type the wrong ICAO ident. Whats the deal here? How can I fix this?

Is the runway closer to the another airport than to the center of this airport?

One quick solution would be to just not type in the destination airport. But you would miss out on lots of points so I don't suggest you do
that.

No, Denver International is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere

Hmmm... Never seen this before. You didn't by chance put the parking break down at KMCI after releasing it?

Um, Paton,

Not that I am an expert or anything but I have flew around the Denver area a time or two (real world) and Denver Intl is KDEN not KDEV.

Im sorry your right, it is KDEN BUT it was a typo by me in this post NOT in the game. When I set my destination, I made sure it said Denver
International (you know how it will recognize the larger airports).

BUT.....I think I may have set the parking park at KMCI while I was waiting for T/O clearance. In fact sometimes I do that if I have to wait for
landing traffic, other times I dont have to because there is no delay. That would explain why it happens about every 3 out of 5 flights.

Nevertheless, my current pilot is hopelessly done for. I think I have a score of like -10,000. Time to dismiss that guy...he sucks Smile

Weird indeed, but using the parking brake should be no problem, I use it all time... Maybe post a flight log?

Whaa?

I always thought that applying the parking brake was a signal that the flight had ended....

Nope, only after arriving at the dest airport and even then need to unbelt them and open the doors Wink

. When you apply parking brake before turning onto
the runway for example, you will just see a (P) behind the time counter (pausing). I use it very often and never had any problems or penalties because
of that Wink

Yes i put parking break at each flight during the engine test procedure, at the hold-on point, juste like i do in real life, and there's no
problem with that...

Thank you for the vote of confidence. If you look in my sigi, those mountains in the background of the B1900C are the front range. I took that picture
myself from the cockpit of one of our airplanes as I was descending into KAPA (right next door to KDEN.) The panel is also from one of aircraft, if
you look closely you can see in fact we are in flight. I have flown in and out of KAPA no less than 100 times.

Great stuff Ken by the way in no way did I mean my comment in a patronising way. I was just confirming the KDEN comment, that was all.
I wish I was a real pilot but FS will have to do and seriously with my pilot skills lol I am quite happy to do just simming Wink
