Flight 1 cessna 172R weight balance problem

Hi,

When using the above with FSPassengers, configuring the flight for 2 passengers and some cargo with a fuel load of 50%.
Any ideas why at takeoff the plane turns to the left? This happens on takeoff roll and when climbing. The airspeed drops to a stall
regardless of the pitch. The fuel is equal in both tanks.
Without FSP the flight is fine.

Turns or banks to the left? Could be also realistic inertia from the prop.

it turns on the ground and banks in the air ! Its pretty much unflyable at the moment due to the stalls !

HI Graham. I use that aircraft without this problem. Check rudder trim. Further, what payload definiitions are you using? With these small ac I
take the station definitions and reference_datum directly from the cfg and do not allow FsP to calculate them. I set aside a seat for the pilot and
co-point at the appropriate ARM etc. FsP needs special handling to be reaiistic for small aircraft. Don't know if this will solve it (doesn't
explain the asymetrical yaw for example)

My stations are: Station 1: 2 seats Z = -2.6 Y = 0
Front cargo = "Flight Crew" Max weight = 400 Z = 0.6 Y = 0.0 (i.e., my pilot and copilot can weigh up to 200lbs each and
their seating is located at the position defined for pilot and copilot in the config for the aircraft)
Rear Cargo="baggage" Max weight = 200 Z= -4.6 Y = 0.0

Mak sure you check "disable position calculation"

The yaw thing could be made worse by having more pax on one side of the aircraft than the other. In a large aircraft you would not notice
but in a Cessna or Baron you could be in for a rough time. If you are stalling during climb out then may I suggest waiting a little longer on
the roll before you rotate, to build more speed. As soon as you are off, check your climb rate, sometimes the weight in the back causes
the plane to go nose-up a bit too much, one way around this is a little forward trim. Once off the ground level off a little, no more than a
400 to 500 fpm climb while the plane gets a bit of speed up. Also check the altitude of the airport Above Sea Level and make sure your
mixture is set right, as that can have a dramatic effect on your power.

I used to have the same problems occasionally with Cessna's in FSP and most of what I discovered is there. I think I caught everything
but can't be sure as I mostly fly somewhat bigger stuff nowadays.
