Unable to play movies during long haul flights

Hi,

I am using POSKY's A330s along with PSS panel. All FSP functions are working except the movie feature which I am unable to start. I
double checked that the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+O was not used anywhere else in FS9 nor PSS but still the movie does not start. I have
also inverted 2 shortcuts (ie Emergency and movie) as the first one was working. Still, no reply from the movie system.

Usually it should not be a problem as the birds I fly have individual screens but I should however be able to have a movie played and gain
more points ?

Can anyone help me on this ? Please ?

Can you try to see if starting the movie from the menu will work?

I have set the service to automatic. I will try to see if manual works.

In the meantime, I have seen screens where the movie feature was greyed. Does it mean that it is related to the payload model ?

You have set the service to manual indeed, otherwise you can't select to start the movie

I don't ever use automatic. They may start serving a couple of seconds prior to descent and you'll still get penalties.

Does it mean that we have to be manual to play the movies ? Also, there must be some aircraft related settings as light aircraft do not
allow playing movies whatever your service setting be ? Could it be somewhere in the payload model ?

if you start up fs, and start up a flight, before you actually start FsP, go into the FsP menu, click FsP Setup > Crew and GPWS Settings,
and under the crew drop down, you can change which aircraft get a crew

Movies will play also in automatic but you cannot start them yourself then. Please read also the manuals which came with FsP, a lot is explained in
there aswell.

I have read the manual again and clearly read that, even when service is automatic the movie is manual. It does work when in full manual
mode 'I have just tried) but not in automatic mode.

Is it a bug ?

Additional question : Can we have, for a long long flight, more than one movie played or FSP just considers one ?

Where did you read that it's not a requirement?

You can play several movies on a long flight, no problem Always helps to keep the passengers satisfaction up

Sorry, I did understand wrongly. I understood that food/drinks/sandwiches could be managed automatically but movies had to be deal
with manually whatever the setting is. It is clear now. Thanks
