Manual vs Automatic Service, and running out of food....

Hi,

Uhm... I don't quite get this.... I do a long haul, have my service settings on manual.

Serve drinks and a hot meal, crossing arround FL200. Afterwards, in flight reports, passengers will be hungry in approx 4hrs - at which
time I have to serve again.

On automatic however... FSPax serves a Drink and Hot Meal after takeoff... The difference however, is after the automatic service, the in
flight reports PAX will be hungry in 9 hours!!! That's a HUGE difference?? 9Hrs for a manual service, and I'll never run out of food. Not
even on the logg 14hr flights...

I don't quite get that, nor see why there should be such a significant difference in the time? Either the manual service needs to be
extended or the automatic lowered (IMHO).

Even back when FsP only had 2 hot food services on manual I never ran out, part of thee trick is feeding these ungrateful passengers
sandwiches when they are about to go hungry. On my longest flight ever which was 18.3 hours back then I did not run out of services to
offer, well I did but that was when I was about to descend and about to land

I haven't flown more than 4 hours, but have yet to run out as well! Learn to conserve food!

Timing is EVERYTHING! Try to plan your departure just after a main meal, (I like to depart after breakfast for example.) Doing so seems to add 3-4
hrs before the pax start complaining.

I think you guys are missing his point.

Why in manual are the pax hungry after 4 hours but in automatic their hungry after 9 hours. Shouldn't these numbers be the same? Why
is there a 5 hour difference?
