Now plane won't start

I've flown several flights with FSPassengers and have really enjoyed some of the failures that have come up. Now all of a sudden, the
plane I fly (MAAAM DC-3) won't start correctly. I can start one of the engines normally, but the other one just turns over without ever
catching. The default Cessna starts OK and so do both engines on the Baron, but as soon as I switch to the MAAM DC-3, I can only get
one engine to start. The virtual airline that I set up was free-flight, so I didn't expect to have to repair the aircraft from a previous failure in
order to fly it.

Any idea what is going on? Does FSPassengers write anything to the aircraft files when a failure occurs that might have kept me from
starting the aircraft? I'd really like to fix this without having to reinstall this aircraft.

FsP don't write anything anywhere in this matter...

Thanks for the quick response. I'm sure my starting procedure is correct. I've flown this aircraft for a long time and never seen this
problem before. FSPassengers was the last software installed on my computer (a few days ago), so that's why I asked in this forum. I've
tried loading a flight with the default Cessna and then switching to the DC-3. Even the Ctrl-E automatic start only starts one engine. The
other one just turns over without catching. (I've check that both tanks have fuel and that the mixture settings are the same.) This is very
puzzling.

Puzzling, puzzling.

I assume you've tried starting it both with and without FSP running? Have you just simply reloaded the DC-3 (as in, just reselecting a new plane at
the start of the flight?). Also, try some other twin-engine plane (Beech Baron, for example, or even a jet). It would be interesting to load an
alternate twin-engine plane AFTER you've loaded up the DC-3, and see if only one of its engines will run.

FSP is only supposed to alter the aircraft.cfg file by adding cargo/passenger stations. Try comparing the aircraft.cfg saved by FSP to the original.

I fly the MAAM RD46 quite a bit in FSP and dont have an engine start problem from a cold and dark cockpit.

Truly an odd issue. Perhaps you should remove/reinstall the plane. This is the only easy solution I can think of. Even if you fixed the
problem, there's no telling what else might be wrong with it.

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions. I'm going to reinstall the aircraft and see if that fixes the problem.

And.. as suggested, try starting your engines w/o FSP running, just to be on the safe side; don't think it will make a difference, but it's always
worth while ruling out all options.

Reinstalling the aircraft did not fix the problem, but forcing FS to rebuild the FS9.cfg file seems to have worked.
