Can the penalties be considered?

Hello Group,
Nice program you got there to say the least. However, considering that we "VPs" (Virtual Pilots) are doing 2-3 cockpit crew job, I think you
have to minimize the penalties a bit. Example after a real time 11 hour flight, I got hit into by AI on the taxiway just after landing killing 9 out
of my 113 passengers and resseting the flight to Origin Airport ( forced have to create a new conmpany). Considering the Co-pilot is of no
help than announcing pilot and FS bugs it makes this program more chanllanging to use for hard core simmers like my self that fly once
a week in real time and follow real life schedules (Long hauls). Yesterday I landed at PANC on RWY 24R and parked at the terminal next
to the runway only to be penalized because I did not reach my destination (it showed that I landed at LAD)?. Also you can just crash by AI
on landing where ocassionally from no where they are landing in front of you when you are clear to land on the same runway. Just to say
it's a great program but too much responsibilities for one person. thnx

You'll find that FsP is very flexible for many types of users. You can custom adjust several penalties to your liking. Check the setup area
and you'll find them.

You can disable the crash feature (as I have done). See the more_option.cfg file in your FSP/Config directory.

That is an FS9 problem. PLHD is Lake Hood which is the seaplane base on the field at PANC.

I agree on the penalties, though. Took a 182 from KSFO to KOAK and got penalties for not using flaps on takeoff (not necessary in a light a/c) and for
the flight being too short (!?!).

I disable the "Aircraft Collisions" for that reason. The minimum flight time is 10m airborn, and I really can't help out with the flaps. I just put
them down anyway, does not make a huge differance.

Walterp.....I think you are missing the point or you have not seen this happen to you in FS yet. This is not where you just "Go-Around" as
you put it.

Again point been missed. The problem is FS not FSP and in real life another plane will not crash into you on taxiways as it is in FS.

I will agree that the AI is an oxymoron...they act anything but intelligent sometimes. However, runway incursions and/or taxiway collisions
are a very real problem and such things unfortunately do happen. Check out this link if interested

You will find the tool "AISeperation" very useful then. Find it on AVSim.

Also, as has already been noted, turning off FS9's crash detections can save you from many headaches. At least when flying with AI traffic and custom
sceneries that sometimes tend to have invisible obstacles in their area. Having those crash features on does not necessarily mean more realism...
