Can FSPassengers simulate failures for complicated aircraft e.g PMDG?

Just curious really. Lets be honest, the default planes in FSX are dreadful, and as a result I've got several planes by 'Carenado' and the 2
Dukes from 'Realair'. I've been flying with the Carenado C210M for a while now, and have never had a failure in it. Okay, so I have my chance
of failure set at 1%, so the chances of getting one are very low, but I'm just beginning to wonder if FSPassengers can create failures for more
complicated 3rd party aircraft, and if it can, does it have limitations? I mean creating a failure for a SEP is one thing, but creating a failure for
something as complicated as the PMDG 737-800/900 must be a totally different ballpark.

Failures in FSP are not terribly complicated since most of the users have never been in the working office of a real plane (the room at the front with
the shinny lights and screens and dials) The worst thing you'll get on your PMDG will be an engine flameout on takeoff. Occasionally your get the
ever sneaky slow engine oil leak leading to engine failure. Your job is to asses the situation, declare an emergency, and land when and where
applicable to your problem and the size of the refrigerator with wings you happen to be driving that day

I get FSP induced failures in Classic British airliners, Historic Jetliner's Group aircraft, California Classic propliner fleet and SCS Tupolev's so
the short answer is yes it will.

However, as Mr. GBApache notes, the failures are basic and generic regardless of the aircraft in use.

I've had a couple of fuel leaks after take off on
the default 172, but like I said, have yet to
have a problem in any 3rd party planes.

I started a round the world trip last week, and
I've managed to get my 210M all the way to
Toronto from Leeds, Bradford without a single
issue. Except for the very windy and bumpy
landing into Toronto city airport

At 1% failure rate you should not see many but I find that they tend to happen in a series and then nothing for extended periods.

After some 60 or so FSP trips without incident, had a string of errors across different FSP airlines:

TCA Connie out of Vancouver, lost an engine on takeoff, circled and made a superb 2-engine overweight landing. Two-engines because I
shut the wrong one down initially and did not have time to restart it.

Three flights later, different Connie, successful wheels up landing at Prestwick, Scotland on the first leg of a trans-Atlantic trip to Montreal.

Two flights later (different FSP airline, same failure rate): HJG Convair 990 lost oil pressure during takeoff roll at Amon Carter Field, Forth
Worth TX. Shut down defective engine and rejected takeoff for a whack of points.

Next flight, Douglas DC-6B, flap failure coming into LaGuardia NYC. Prop reverse came in handy to keep from getting wet after a ugly,
high-speed landing with in a nasty cross-wind.

That was about 50 FSP flights ago, since then, nada...

The Team Constellation L-1049 that I use has built in failures should you abuse the engines or hydraulics that FSP does not recognize
but you can avoid these just by flying according to the numbers, leaving FSP to create your problems.

The Toronto Island Airport was always a nice place for a kid to plane spot (for GA anyway) back in the sixties but I haven't been there since
1979. Hated when they renamed it Billy Bishop Airport, that honour should have stayed with little Owen Sound municipal field.

The Realair B60 Duke Turbine I have will
simulate engine failure, if you abuse them too
much, although you really do have to abuse
them and have no mechanical sympathy
whatsoever for them to fail. You will also get a
master warning before failure, letting you
know you're overstressing the engines.

I'm getting around to buying the PMDG J41
Jetstream, apparently engine management is
crucial when flying it, as it's very easy to
overstress and blow an engine in it.

I went to Toronto about 5 years ago, I never
saw or knew of the existence of Toronto City
airport though. If I had, I would have checked it
out and jumped on the free ferry to the island.
It's one of the reasons why I like flight
simulating so much, it really does improve
your geography knowledge. I look up the
airport and surrounding area of everywhere I
land, and you pick up loads of info.
