Hello ladies and gentlemen. First off, I read over the forum rules and I didn't see any rules against posting about Virtual
Airlines. However,
I have been known to miss things and if this is not allowed or doesn't belong in this section, please forgive me.
Next, let me say cheers to you all for your interest in one of my favorite hobbies. Now, on to my orginal reason for this post:
Orange Line Air Freight Virtual Air Line!
I'm the CEO and owner of Orange Line Air Freight virtual airline, a very small fly-by-the-seat of your pants cargo/charter
company that's
only hub (so far due to fiances) is based in Australia out of YSHT (Shepparton). Despite a few FAA violations, we've pooled
together
enough money to expand and we're now looking for some good virtual pilots.
This small struggling company will take on any cargo job, to anywhere, and it also won't hesitate to transport paying
passengers, so
pilots can expect to dust off their jumpseats once in awhile. Right now we have 2 planes, a Cessna 172SP Skyhawk and a
Beechcraft
Baron 58 both very very surplus discount aircraft with some problems that our (poorly) trained mechanics are working on.
However, we
would like for our fleet to include Cessna 195's and Douglas DC-3's.
As you can tell, Orange Line Air Freight isn't your typical, fly by the books professional VA. This isn't the place that jet
jockeys or set-
schedule types would want to fly. Our biggest iron will be the time-tested and well worn in Douglas DC-3 when one can be
afforded. This
is a piston prop op, but we're open to new suggestions for the fleet (when money allows!)
The company has some required add-ons to help add depth and extreme detail to the company. This includes FspassengersX as we
only have support for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. We use FsPassengers to simulate our jumpseat passengers, failures, in flight
emergencies, and of course for it's very detailed after flight report which is great for PIREPS
Now, here's where many of you will laugh, scoff, make some other noise of disgust and disapproval, and turn away. The company's
website is based at proboards. I know, I know, I should have a proper website. Well unfortunately I can't justify spending
money on a
domain for entertainment purposes, nor do I have the proper knowledge for HTML coding, and free website builders like
Angelfire or
Tripod didn't have the types of forms I needed.
For those of you who have stayed to continue learning about my VA, I thank you for giving me the chance. Despite the website
being a
proboards forum, I have put many hours of work into it and I think it is just as good as any professional website and is very
detailed. This
is in part to our use of FspassengersX which can have players facing the injury or death of their pilots at the website.
PIREPs are
extremely detailed as well due to Fspassengers great flight analysis system. Virtual pilot injury and death are explained in
more detail at
the website.
So please, check out Orange Line Air Freight and give the meager proboards forum a chance, I think you'll be surprised,
especially pilots
who don't mind risking their lives high above the Outback, who enjoy old prop planes, or just piston engined planes in
general, and who
want to work for a small operation that is detailed and doesn't start with a massive fleet and many hubs right off the bat.
We have to work
for our things! Hope to see ya there!
