Hi,
i just aborted a flight over the atlantic caus i had a strange problem. (And a friend called for some beers and stuff
)
I took of with my Conni (L1049) at CYYT (Canada) the weather wasnt that nice but no issue, some time after takeoff i noticed a drop on the IAS.... oh
sh** forgot the Pitot heat -.-
-> Turned it on -> everything fine again.
In flight i accidently turned off the Carburettor Air Heat of engine 4 and so a big drop at the fuel flow and the power, i realy thought: 'today im
with stupid. Today im with me!'
Even after i turned Carburettor Air Heat on again the situation stayed the same, cause i never had that situation i tried some thing:
- fuel cut of (mixture)
- restart of engine
- fuel cut of (tanks-engine)
- restart
After the last action, the fuel flow came back again and also the power.
Now my questions, is that normal or:
a. Did the AeroPlaneHeaven Team something wrong (devs of the Conni Pro)?
b. Is this behaviour the cause the interaction with FSP?
Second one, Do i get a peneltay for this things?
1. Pitot Heat not on before i noticed the IAS loss
2. turning off Carburettor Air Heat in flight
3. restarting the enigne after fuel cut off?
Did i had to declare an emergency, if yes, when?
Greats
Max
(Bad english maybe, cause im in a hurry and from germany X-D)
