Switching to FSX

I finally collected enough nickels to get a new video card for the Commodor. With a little more power I have discovered what FSX was
intended to be, smooth, flowing and detailed. I am going to leave behind my massive library of freeware and venture forth into the land of
pay-as you-go.
One note to Joe, I did find a nice repaint of the C208 that I'll use in a reflight of FSP World Tour One

what card did you get? i'm looking to get one of those new shiny 6990s. maybe even 2

I can't afford shiny stuf. I got an Nvidea GT 430. Less than $100.

should run alright. i've got a ATI 5770 atm and it does alright until you get into cloud but thats mainly cause i have my cloud settings maxed out

You using the default C208 or are you getting the payware version by Carenado? I just started back with FSX after a fairly lengthy absence. Been using
FS9 mostly, but I saw that RealAir has a Duke turbine and had to get it :bigsmile: Already have the piston one. I am enjoying the highly detailed
aircraft that RealAir makes...WOW. My next purchase will be Carenado's C208. Can't lose either way
Once I've saved up around $6,000, I'm building a nuclear powered pc to run FSX better
