Maybe you tried it for 30 seconds, because FSPX is about much more than just carrying passengers. More than just an "add-on," FSPX makes FSX a more
complete product, giving it features that should have been built-in.

There are many goals available to your company other than keeping the crybabies happy. Take a look at the "more downloads" section
at the top of this page. Inside the catagories section you will find something called "scenarios". These give you something to work

Okay, I'll have a look at that, proffesor. And yes... landing smoothly... I just crashed my C185F. It bothered me a LOT more than ever before, I
can tell you. Flying the C185F (a taildragger) is a lot more nerve wrecking during appraoch than it was before I tried FSP.

Well, no, I tried it a lot longer. But afaik it IS all about carrying passengers... But I know what you mean (I think): possible failures,
scenarios, etc. all adds up to the experience. I have to say though that right now the economy part of the game looks a bit shallow, but that might be
due to the fact I just gave Air Hauler try.

I also have to say though (before I get flamed at this friendly forum ) that I think I like FSP more because it focuses on the
actual flying (doing it right). I didn't have much time to fly in Air Hauler so I used time accel to finish an Air Hauler job. I ended up almost above
the destination, dropped the C172 out of the sky and plummeted on the ground... and got rewared for it. Apparently that program doesn't care at ALL
how you do things...? Apart from that, you can't just fly from any airport: you have to fly back from where you were and so on: all very time
consuming stuff and in the end it's all about Air Hauler and not FSX. AH is about getting stuff from A to B no matter what and then spending a lot of
time in the Air Hauler program, while FSP is all about what happens between A and B. And that's what counts for me. Anyway, that's my very quick look
on it.

I'll give the demo one more try and then I'll let you all know what I'll do. I am sure you are all looking forward to that...

Yes, I did fly the MD11 a lot indeed! Where did we meet before? But I totally switched to low and slow (bush)flying now, because I got bored of
just looking at gauges... I like the FTX scenery a lot and it doesn't look THAT good at 27.000 ft. Besides that, manually flying GA (without AP)
feels a lot more like flying to me. In the MD11 I was mostly just waiting for the descent to begin.

About that world tour... my goodness... don't think that'll work out with my C182RG or C185F. :P

In the scenarios section is one called "around the world". It gives you a bunch of money and no carreer mode so you can buy anything
you want. It is VERY close to cheating but it lets you buy lots of planes for the various legs of the World Tours.

Bought it!

Just did my first 'official' flight. Created a new company and upped the settings a bit and got immediatley penalized for not closing the doors... :P
I have the lights-option disabled for now, because somehow the Carenado setup doesn't work as it should and I don't like using keyboard shortcuts for
them.

I have to say that it indeed really adds something. Specially the approach and landing brings a lot more tension. I am using the C182RG for now
because landing the C185F is a bit too tricky. I am looking forward to my first emergency... I only have easy failures enabled because I also have the
autosave function enabled (to prevent cheating). I also like the radio chatter because I fly without AI and that chatter makes the world come alive!

Can't imagine flying without FSP already...

lol try it out with PNW once it is released mate, edge of the seat flying with FsP, I do not think I have flown a single flight without it since I
got my first Beta to play with

LOL I ordered FSP together with PNW (pre-pay)! So yes, I will most definitely 'try' it.

LOL I've never ever flown with failures in my life, so gimme a break! I also could have gone for no failures at all, you know... And I have
the autosave option on, which is already quite heroic and daring in my book. In fact, I've got every other option on, so... I am proud of myself.

Hey, congratulations! Doing bush flying is actually a lot of fun in FSP. There are a number of settings you can use to help things along. The food
thing, for example, is easily overcome by just setting the "no crew" option. The passengers no longer get hungry, and you don't have to worry about
it. This is useful in small planes which put in long flights, and don't have "hot food." Presumably the passengers just pack their own.
