Parking brake penalty?

A friend of mine recently turned me on to FSpax for FSX, Love the game. just one problem, I'm flying the default Mooney and every thing goes
great until I end the flight and it says that I applied the parking brake at x speed and docks me a good amount of points. makes it a pain to
advance. I have a Saitek X52 joystick but no rudder pedals so my brakes are just a button. I do have it set to just brakes not parking brakes
thats a different key any ideas on how to solve this problem or disable the penalty? Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the world of FSP

Do you wait until the aircraft it completely stopped before applying the parking brake? If you don't wait, then you'll end up getting docked points.
There is also no way of removing the penalty.

I apply my normal brakes to slow down after landing and on the ramp but I wait until i come to a complete stop before applying the parking
brake. I'm wondering if, since i just have a button for my brakes and its either on or off, its thinking it the parking brake.

Doubt that that's the case; I would suggest that you go through all the controls, including those from slew mode, and check for double assignments or
conflicting key assignments.

What kind of speeds are you at when you're "engaging the parking brake" or atleast in the penalty reports? This might point us into what area
of the flight that you're having the problems

Maybe your throttle is not down completely when boarding and the engines are off (it happened to me sometimes).

Well my processor decided to fry itself yesterday, so it'll be a week or two before i can figure ant thing else out

When you are back in business, set up a shell company to test settings in FSPax. No scenario, economic, or career mode just the basic
components. See what works then use it in your regular company. I think of the shell company as the R&D division for my airline. Use it
to test payload models, obscure airports, new aircraft, etc...

I second the Shell company idea.... It is excellent for testing payload models.
