Unintentional Overspeed

When I'm flying in autopilot in high simulation rates 8x or 16x, usually at some point in the flight, even if my autopilot speed setting is waaaay
below the overspeed level (i'm going 285 knots if the overspeed is at 315 knots), it will gyrate left and right and then go to like 350 knots all of a
sudden. Because of these Unintentional Overspeeds, i get penalized in Fs Passengers.

Anyone know why this overspeed and gyrating happens? Also is there a way in FS Passengers to disable overspeed penalty?

Perhapse turbulance !!!!!!!!!!!!
Because you use time acc. before you know it the turbulance is away.
The cause of those sudden speed changes comes usealy from turbulance the same for gyrate left and right.

There is a way to disable the overspeed penalty, I think it's an editbale value in one of the extra options files. As for getting overspeed in teh
first place: most would say don't use time accelaration at those rates. However, are you using real world weather, or real world wearth updated every
15mins? If you're using the update option of RWW then you'll occasionally get veru sudden wind changes that will cause your aircraft to overspeed,
and at the rates you're flying at time accelartation wise, the wind backing/veering will hit your aircraft harder than it would w/o time accelaration.

options>follow prompts

Yes I'm always using real world weather with 15 minute updates. I think this makes a lot of sense, since weather and pressures can changes drastically
as you fly thru zones....

Might have to use real weather with no updates just to make sure. Thanks guys!

If it's the changing winds that causes this, then you might want to take a look at the full version of FSUIPC. It has an option to smoothen
the wind. Not sure though if it also work for the higher simulation speeds.

In my experience, autopilots and autothrottles are not always able to work fast enough to counter minor disturbances properly when flying
with high time acceleration, leading to ever increasing deviations in heading or pitch, until you bust a parameter in FsP, such as "dive of
death", G forces or overspeed.

Occasional monitoring of the flight when accelerating is the only remedy I know of...

And yeah, I have manually disabled the overspeed penalty anyway, since I can't seem to smoothen real world winds enough to avoid
overspeed at typical cruise mach speeds.

This true in the sim. But rapid weather changes in FS are unnatural. Those do not happen in a real world. Get FSUIPC and set the winds smoothing
ratios and you'll be fine... No overspeeding again unless you get into real serious troubles...
