Abort take off

I know that just before take off I should check if both jet engines produce the same thrust and if not take off should be aborted. But what difference
justifies that? Both N1 shows 61% but N2 is different and fluctuating by about 0.2%. Is this enough to abort or is it normal. I must admit I never
checked them before for longer than couple seconds.

That's normal, i think..
If there is more than 10% difference you should abort the takeoff..

You should check your engine parameters up till V1 speeds. If an engine fails after V1, you normally proceed with your t/o, but then follow
the engine out procedures for your type of aircraft and field you're flying from. This is true for most failures after V1, unless it's a failure that
will prevent your plane from flying.

If you encounter a problem before V1, you may abort take off if it is a serious problem. A 0.2% difference on N2 doesn't sound like a
problem. As per Swen, I would only abort if the difference becomes too big.

V1 is a speed before rotating, whereby your aircraft will be able to stop before the end of the rwy in case of a failure and full braking. After
V1, you might not be able to come to a stop before the end of a runway. (although this is not always simulated correctly in FS )

Well not to steal the topic but because gfurm allready wrote about it........I also sometimes discover some failuers before take-off.
But when I declare a emergency I get a penalty and if I stop the flight I only can abort it.

Same here. But I didn't know if this was a faliure connected to FSPX or it was somenthing else... of course, all I could do was to abort flight. It
would be good to know if there is actually a possibility of before take off faliures and what kind of faliures.

AFAIK you don't declare an emergency on the ground when you notice something is wrong. You just return to the gate, hit the parking
brake and release the pax. (at least that's what i remember of my ground problem in fs9).

not if you declare an emergency beforehand...
