Hi there,
I'm not a real pilot, but I think I have some experience in aviation
.
For twelve years, I am flying on FS, and always buy the best 737 add-on I can find. So I did, one year ago, and now my config is :
- FSX Deluxe
- Wilco 737 Pilot in Command (which I very love, and think is much realistic).
- Some Mega Airports add-ons to have some airports as real as possible.
- CALLX (from Feelthere) which add to the 737 PIC from Wilco a FO that makes all the check-list and look if you the 737 set is fine at each flight
phases.
- And yesterday I bought FSPX. I think it is a great way to add some "challenge" to my sim-life. (Manage a company, a pilot, and the PAX satisfaction).
My way of flying : always a realistic IFR flight plan, IFR ATC control, FMC from the 737 with the full FP encoded, and my objective when flying is to
fly as real as possible. The 737-300 has always been my favorite aircraft, and, a few years ago, I have also done the madness to study the real
"Manual of the 737-300". So this is the only plane I can fly, but I know it well
.
I have write this big introduction (before asking my questions) because I wanted you to know at which level I am about flying. I always want to learn
more and fly with more realism as possible.
So my questions are here :
1) I have created a new company with one pilot and choose the company type "Learned school" (or something like that). Because I wanted the economy
mode, the pilot career mode, and all other... So, it's impossible to fly my favorite 737. I know there are other company types which have no limit of
aircraft certificates, but I wanted to have a real pilot career. How much time take a full training to fly a 737 ?
2) I have done 3 flights with FSPX yesterday. One with my loved 737-300 (from KSFO to KLAX, with the FSPX demo) and 2 with the full FSPX version with
a little Money Bravo between some regional airports in Belgium. (Because my newbie pilot can only fly a mono-propeller aircraft, lol). My question is
: When I fly with my 737, I use the add-on from Feelthere named "CALL" that manage all the checklist and a few actions with the co-pilot. Is there any
way to turn off some sound of FSPX that makes start check-list, or the hostess making the safety speech when taxing ? (I have both with CALL, and
prefer those. Don't hurt me :p).
3) When preparing my last flight yesterday, I wanted to fuel my aircraft, I saw that you can do so from the flight manager when starting a FSPX
flight. I have also checked that you cannot go to the "Fuel and Payload" menu from FSX (which is normal, cheating is BAAAAD !). But you still can call
the fuel truck (SHIFT or CTRL + F) and load fuel without being stopped by FSPX. Is that normal ? If I load fuel with the fuel truck, is the fuel
amount added to the flight cost ?
4) Money question : I know at beginning I will not earn much money. But for the moment, I make always flight that make me loose money
. For
beginning my little company is set on "Low-cost Company", is that a good choice ? When do I have to change that and for which types ? "Luxe" ? "Normal
International Company" ?
Thanks to all for your upcoming answers.
Have a nice day !
